How It's Built
Pilasters extend from the finished floor all the way to the structural ceiling, anchored at both ends. With both anchor points engaged, the pilaster behaves as a fully restrained column — dramatically more rigid than overhead braced. Panels and doors run full height as well, eliminating the sight line under the stall that's standard in other configurations.
Why Specifiers Choose It
- Maximum structural rigidity — best vandal resistance
- Maximum visual privacy with full-height panels
- Standard in correctional, military, and high-security facilities
- Reduces noise transfer between stalls
When It's the Right Call
Schools and universities concerned with vaping or vandalism, correctional facilities, military installations, and any high-end restroom where total privacy is part of the brief. For day-to-day commercial restrooms, the cost premium typically isn't justified — default to overhead braced.
