How It's Built
Heavy-duty floor flanges or anchor brackets fasten the pilaster base directly to the finished floor. There is no overhead headrail — panels and doors hang off the pilasters and the wall, leaving the ceiling clean. To compensate for the missing headrail, pilasters are typically thicker and floor anchors are heavier than overhead-braced systems, so the partitions remain rigid under daily use.
Why Specifiers Choose It
- Clean, modern open-ceiling aesthetic
- Allows ceiling-mounted lighting and HVAC to remain unobstructed
- Easier to retrofit when the existing ceiling can't support a headrail
- Common in upscale commercial and hospitality restrooms
Floor Requirements
Floor must be capable of accepting concealed anchors — standard concrete slabs work, but post-tension slabs and radiant-heat floors usually require an alternative mounting style. We'll review your slab type during quoting and recommend ceiling hung if drilling isn't viable.
